Historic Ormiston House is the birthplace of the Australian Sugar Industry. It is one of the finest examples of colonial architecture in Queensland and is furnished in the period (circa 1860). Tours are available by arrangement during the week or in Sunday afternoons when the house is opent to the public. Feel free to picnic in the gardens and grounds overlooking Moreton Bay or purchase Devonshire tea.
